What is a Cookie?

The term “Cookie” refers to all trackers (pixel tags, bugs, web-storage) stored and/or read, for example, while visiting the website.

A Cookie is a small text file, saved on the hard disc of your machine at the request of the server managing the website that was visited. It contains information on the pages of the website that were browsed (specifically: the name of the server that left it, an identifier in the form of a unique number, potentially an expiry date).

Cookies are stored for various reasons, including facilitating a later use of the website by the same person by saving their preferences, as well as developing our services by establishing statistics and numbers of visits in order to improve the interest and usability of our services.

ALTARES – D&B Cookies

ALTARES – D&B uses Cookies in order to offer content and services adapted to your main interests, to suggest that you share the content available on the website on social networks and to allow ALTARES – D&B to compile statistics on the visits, to record the data transferred as well as to optimise the clickstream.

ALTARES – D&B will retain the information for as long as we reasonably consider necessary for the purposes stated herein. These Cookies are aimed at establishing the volume and visit statistics of the website and its different sections as well as the use of the services offered by each of them.

These Cookies allow ALTARES – D&B to improve how the website operates and its usability.

The website uses Google Analytics to collect information on your use of the website:

Google Analytics collects information on:

Cookies that track social networks
The website offers buttons allowing you to share certain content available on the website via social networking platforms. These buttons therefore use Cookies to allow us to monitor the browsing of online users.

Identification Cookies
Identification Cookies are used in the context of creating and/or logging in to your personal area on the website. They allow you to access your account and/or area thanks to your log-in details, aid your searches, as well as store other information appearing as an interest to make your session work.

Pixel tags
Pixel tags allow platforms (generally social networks or webmail services: Facebook, Google, Twitter etc.) to qualify the website’s audience by connecting them with their own information.

More precisely, these platforms complete their own knowledge about you by adding an interest for the website ALTARES – D&B. This personal data is therefore governed by the general conditions of the relevant platforms. As with advertising Cookies, the pixel tag allows us to show the content and advertisements that are most relevant for you and measure the performance of targeted advertisements.

Please note that the pixel tag only allows these platforms to collect information about you browsing the website if you are simultaneously logged in to these platforms (for example in another tab or if you have chosen the “remember me” option when you log in to these services).

Acceptance or refusal of cookies

When you log on to our website, a message is displayed so that you may store a cookie on your machine. You can change your choice through your browser settings at any time.

We would like to highlight that deactivating certain cookies, particularly those that are essential, can prevent certain features of the ALTARES – D&B website from working.

To remove your cookies, please do the following:

Internet Explorer

In the General tab, click on the Settings button in the “Browsing history” section. Next click on the “View files” button. Identify the files beginning with cookie. Select the cookies with ALTARES in the file name and delete them. You can then close this window and return to your browser by clicking on “OK” twice then continue to browse.

Firefox

Once you have finished, click on “OK” twice then close the “Settings” tab before continuing to browse.

In Safari
Go to the “Tools” section through the icon at the top-right then click on “Settings”. Click on the “Confidentiality” tab then on the button “Details” in the “Cookies and other website data” section. Find those with ALTARES in the file name and delete them by clicking on the “Delete” button. Once you have finished, click on “Finish” then close the settings window before continuing to browse.

In the “Privacy” tab, click on the “Sites” button, enter the website’s address then select the desired action and click on the “OK” button. Go to the “Tools” section through the icon at the top-right then click on “Settings”. At the very bottom of the page, click on “Advanced” to display the advanced options. In the “Privacy and security” section, click on “Content settings”. In the “Cookies” section, click on the “Manage exceptions” button, enter the website’s address then select the desired option. Once you have finished, click on “OK” twice then close the “Settings” tab before continuing to browse.

Safari
Go to the “Tools” section through the icon at the top-right then click on “Settings”. Click on the “Privacy” tab then choose the desired level in the “Block cookies” section. Once you have finished, click on “Finish” then close the settings window before continuing to browse.
